Springtime blues

Posted by Jessica Hinkle on

It's June but Chicago weather hasn't gotten the memo. There has been a big chill here and I haven't been able to wear any of my cute Summer dresses. Transitional outfits are always difficult to put together. You want to dress for the weather it should be, but sadly sometimes you have to reel it in. That's why this jumpsuit is my favorite piece from the shop right now.

This jumpsuit styles itself. The lightweight fabric and gorgeous floral print are perfect for Spring and into Summer. The fabric is breathable and comfortable. This is our BB Dakota Drew Jumpsuit and I am wearing the 3X. Generally I am a 28 on bottom because I carry a lot of weight in my lower stomach and hips but this jumpsuit is generously sized and works for me just fine.

I wanted to keep the styling simple since the print is so beautiful. I paired it with my Torrid denim jacket and platforms found here. These platforms are really easy to walk in and are my new go-to Summer shoes. I love that you can dress this jumpsuit up or down. Wear with wedges or keds and a denim for a casual day look. Or you can throw on a blazer and wear it to work.

These are my new favorite earrings and they're available here. They are the perfect length! The caged detail around the crystal adds a great detail.

There is so much amazing art around Chicago. It's one of my favorite things about the city. A lot of underpasses have impressive murals. You never know where you will find art. I happened upon this mural close to my house and had to take the opportunity to take some photos. The mural was playful and had a retro feel. These were my favorite characters from the mural:

I wonder where I will find my next favorite mural! Until next time.....
